Suzy’s Classes
Suzy leads a variety of classes, including Yoga, Bulldog Pump, and Total Body Fitness. She also occasionally fills in for Silver Sneakers. Each session with Suzy is a blend of motivation, challenge, and fun, ensuring you get the most out of your workout while enjoying the camaraderie of the group.
Years as an Instructor
Suzy has been a group fitness instructor for an impressive 22 years. Her wealth of experience and dedication to fitness is evident in every class she teaches. Though she’s been with Bulldog Gym members for less time, her impact has been significant.
Favorite Thing About Group Fitness
For Suzy, the best part about group fitness is the accountability and camaraderie. She loves seeing how the group dynamic encourages everyone to push harder and achieve their goals together.
Fitness Motivations
Suzy’s primary motivation for staying fit is to maintain her health and be able to do whatever she chooses. This outlook is something she shares with her students, encouraging them to see fitness as a key to living a full and active life.
Fitness Challenges
Even seasoned instructors have their challenges. For Suzy, cardio workouts are particularly tough, and she finds it challenging to stay consistent with her schedule. Despite these hurdles, Suzy remains dedicated to her fitness journey and inspires her students to do the same.
Hometown Roots
Originally from Covington, GA, Suzy has called Monticello home for the past 34 years. Her deep connection to the community adds a personal touch to her classes, making them more than just workouts but a gathering of friends and neighbors.
Family Life
Suzy’s family is her cornerstone. She has been married to her husband Jamie for 36 years, and they have two grown children. Her son Matthew and his wife Kelly are expecting their first grandchild, bringing even more joy to Suzy’s life. Her daughter Laura and her husband Cameron are also a vital part of her close-knit family. And, of course, we can’t forget Pip, her beloved beagle mix who also plays a significant role in her life.
