Staff Checklist & Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

This SOP reflects the current Bulldog Strength Club rules, including required lift order and no revisiting of prior lifts. It does not supersede the Official Rule Book.

1. Pre-Attempt Checklist

  • Attempt is scheduled and during staffed hours
  • Member has reviewed the Official Rule Book
  • Member understands required lift order and no-revisit rule
  • Equipment area is safe and available
  • Liquid chalk only

2. Session Start Procedure

  • Confirm Bulldog Strength Club level being attempted
  • Explain lift order clearly:
    1. Back Squat
    2. Bench Press
    3. Deadlift
  • Explain that once a lift is completed and the member moves on, it cannot be revisited
  • Identify verifying staff member
  • Start the one-hour timer when squat warm-ups begin

3. Lift Verification

  • Verify weight loaded
  • Observe movement standards
  • Allow multiple attempts only for the current lift
  • Verbally confirm “good lift” or “no lift”

Once the member moves to the next lift, the previous lift is closed.

4. Time Management

  • Monitor elapsed time
  • Provide time warnings as appropriate
  • Do not extend the one-hour window

5. Post-Attempt

If successful: – ☐ Record achievement in Zoho Creator – ☐ Notify management for recognition

If unsuccessful: – ☐ Acknowledge effort and encourage rescheduling

6. Staff Reminder

Consistency matters more than generosity. Apply standards evenly and refer questions or disputes to management.
